A Lush Haul (For Everyone Else)

Thursday 16 July 2015

I’ve been avoiding Lush like the plague recently as I’ve accumulated far too many Lush goodies. My Lush ban was all going well until I ran out of moisturiser and thought, hey, I haven’t used Sympathy for the Skin in ages.

Being the ever polite person I am (ha) I asked my parents and other half if they needed anything Lush related and as the words left my mouth my bank account started to cry. Somehow my plan to purchase Sympathy for the Skin turned into a shopping spree for my nearest and dearest. Whoops.

Okay so let’s start with the one thing I bought for myself. I’ve been trying all of Lush’s body lotions for the past year or so and Sympathy for the Skin has proved to be the best so far. It’s been a long time since I used this so I’m hoping it’s as good as I remember.

Next up are the things I got for my parents. My dad loves Lush’s soap so I was nice and got him 2. Dirty as the first one I grabbed due to its minty goodness and its delightful blue colour.

Miranda was the other soap I picked up after my other half shoved it in my face (he was trying to make me smell it before you start to think he attacks me with soap). This is a rather nice, light, fruity scented soap which hopefully my dad likes.

My mum only wanted one thing and that was a moisturiser. She decided to let me choose for her so I went for one I’ve never used. Vanilla Dee-Lite sounds and smells incredible so hopefully it lives up to the high expectations I have for it. Go vanilla!

My other half is turning into a Lush fiend and has been using my tub of Ocean Salt a lot recently. In order to save whatever I have left, I offered to get him his very own tub. Needless to say there wasn’t much of a protest and he somehow ended up with a larger tub than what I have.

As I’m writing this I realise he also likes using my tub of Big so I should have bought that too. Maybe turning him into a Lush fiend is beginning to backfire as he’s using all of my stuff!

I bought him Dirty Springwash last year and after discovering how great it is he demanded I got him a larger bottle. Of course I obliged and I ended up spending the rest of the day smelling very minty thanks to the bottle leaking onto me.

He also wanted more Dirty shaving cream which amused me greatly since he can barely grow facial hair (aww). This time he picked up a larger tub and threw it into our basket; I think someone was being awfully generous to himself.

Remind me to not ask anyone if they want anything next time I go to Lush. I thought I was going to make it in and out with only £10 leaving my purse but nope, I spent so much more than that. I think it’s about time they treat me to some things now, I wonder if I can get my mum to buy me a donut…
