Lush Haul

Wednesday 10 September 2014

What do you do when you’ve taken 2 days off of work? Simple, you go to Edinburgh for a tattoo consultation and to raid Lush. My tattoo hasn’t happened yet but the Lush haul has so here are the latest things that are stinking out my bedroom (they’re a vast improvement on Doritos).

So let’s start off with the thing I bought twice. I didn’t buy Dirty Springwash twice out of love for it as I’ve never even tried it. I bought one for myself and one as a little present for someone.

The colour instantly attracted me to Dirty Springwash and the gorgeous fresh, minty scent is what made me buy it. The colour makes me crave the sugary sweetness that is a blue WKD though. Craving alcopops at 8am in the shower is an odd way to start the day.

D’Fluff was something I first saw on The Sunday Girl and it had me intrigued right from the getgo. Every time I wandered into Lush with the full intention of purchasing D'Fluff I always left without it so this time I made a conscious effort to purchase it. I haven’t used it's strawberry goodness yet but I’m already not feeling its scent. I'm not the biggest fan of strawberries so I may have made an error here.

This is a repurchase so I think that says it all. I originally purchased African Paradise in mid July and I still have a little bit left of the original tub. At £19.95 I do think it’s a bit of a rip off but I’m 99.9% sure it’s helped dramatically with my eczema so I’ll let the price slide. I’m not crazy about the smell but as it’s not overpowering I can get over it.

Top of the Blocks (or a block of Honey I Washed the Kids and Karma if you prefer) is not for me but rather for my dad. As much as I try to like soap I just can’t use it without dropping it every 5 seconds so I try to avoid it. My dad on the other hand is a soap fiend and no Lush trip is complete without a small soapy present for him. These are 2 soaps that he really likes from Lush so woohoo for Top of the Blocks.

Well that’s the entire haul and the smell of all the products mixed together is now giving me a headache. I think it’s time to put away all these products and blast some loud music because, y’know, that help headaches…
